Personal Exploration and Reflection Toward Racial Justice Action: a Dialogue

The Diversity Committee invites Village members to a continuation of its Lunch, Learn and Act programs.

Why: Given our current reality of police violence, systemic racial inequity and White supremacy what can we do individually to take a next step?

In a discussion between historian Taylor Branch and writer Isabel Wilkerson about demographic changes over the next two decades, Taylor Branch says: White people said they wouldn’t stand for being a minority in their own country. So, the real question would be – if people were given the choice between democracy and whiteness, how many would choose whiteness?  Food for thought.
